In high-speed land transport (HSLT), asynchronous, synchronous and inductor linear motors can be used to drive the crew. Asynchronous linear motors are simple in design, but have relatively low energy performance (efficiency of 0.8; cosφ = 0.5). Synchronous linear motors have higher energy indices (efficiency of 0,9; cosφ = 0,95), but require large material expenses. The intermediate variant is the linear inductor motors, the construction of which is a little more complicated than the linear induction motors, but these motors, as well as synchronous motors, have high energy indicators.
